We accept poetry submissions through Submittable only. Our reading period is January 1 – May 1 annually. Please submit all poems in one file. Include a brief bio with previous publications. Simultaneous submissions are fine, but we ask that you identify them as such and notify us swiftly of acceptance elsewhere. We do not consider previously published work or multiple submissions.

Regretfully, we cannot pay our contributors. We do not charge a fee to submit, but ask that you only submit once annually unless invited to send again.

If we accept your work, we ask for first rights. We also ask that you credit The National Poetry Review in future publications of the work.

Revisions cannot be accommodated once you have submitted work.

We aim to respond to submissions within 3-4 months. We accept 5% of work we receive.
